Kd89 German Sword UlanNice regimentally marked prussian/german kavallerie degen 89. Black painted scabbard in great shape, only a small surface dent or two near teh bottom. Engraved polished blade has ulanen regt. Hennigs von treffenfeld altmark nr. 16 engraved on the obverse. The reverse has floriate patterns and war trophies, as well as the hohenzollern eagle engraved. Original leather washer in place. Hilt is in fantastic shape, showing little or no wear to the prussian eagle on the folding obverse guard. Both guards fold in and function perfectly. Grip is in afntastic shape with no cracks or chips. Swords of the ulanen regiments (lancers) are quite desirable i have a few in my collection but economy and dollar bottoming out means this one sadly has to go. A great example of a sword, rare to see one attributed to this ergiment which had a great combat record in wwi. No illegal symbols not a second world war item.
